Edinson Cavani best goal in the French tournament
It is quite possible that winter transfer window, uncommonly, could see a lot of spectacular transfers.
One of possible, if not the biggest one, is a transfer of Edinson Cavani to Arsenal. Reportedly, PSG gave Arsene Wenger a green light to negotiate with the player and, if the deal comes through, Cavani would be the most expensive player in Arsenal’s history, since Wenger would have to pay more than 50 million pounds for his move.
Highly-priced team PSG have finished the first part of Ligue 1 at just third place on the table with three points less than Marseille and one point less than Lyon – Laurent Blanc’s side was booed by Parc de Princes after a scoreless draw with Montpellier and it seems some changes are required.
There was always going to be a question whether Ibrahimovic and Cavani could play together and, apparently, Blanc decided to monetize Uruguayan price, especially after having seen that Jean-Christophe Bahebeck could be a nice fit with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
On the other side, Arsenal is going to have an another season in which a fight for the title becomes a fight for the Champions League place. From season to season, they have always been successful in it, but if they want to finally go further, they will need to go for the big stars, and Cavani is definitely one of them and – available.
