Louis Van Gaal was in jubilant mood on Boxing day at Old Trafford, as he decided to show his magnanimous nature by distributing Christmas presents to the Red Devils fans. Otherwise known for his fierce demeanor and focused attitude, the Dutchman showed a different side of his personality in an attempt to win the fans’ hearts, ahead of the NewCastle game.
However, on last eve, it was not only him spreading Christmas cheers and presents. Wayne Rooney gave a surprise gift to United fans by netting two stunning goals in the first half of the game. Robin Van Persie soon added another goal to cement Man Utd victory. The game ended with the score of 3-1 to Manchester United, making Red Devils the only team to win fifty matches on boxing day.

And to put icing on cake, the legendary, former United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson was also present on the glorious occasion to hand out the best groundsman award to Tony Sinclair for his sterling services. So, in a nutshell, it was a marvellous afternoon for the Red Devils fans.
