Petr Cech all set to join Arsenal after he undergoes Medical
According to Sky sources, Arsenal has agreed a £10.9 m Petr Cech move from Chelsea to Arsenal after his medical with the Gunners.
Cech has already agreed personal terms with Arsenal, but terms with Chelsea has yet to be finalized.
The prolific goal keeper is said to be thankful towards Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich for allowing him to move at his will to any Club.
Goal keeper has one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge but looking for new deal after spending much of last season as second option behind Thibaut Courtois
The transfer will be a cash only deal, with Chelsea’s request to receive a home-grown player as part of the proposed transfer, no longer being considered.
John Terry said on Monday that if they deal with Cech it will help Arsenal to buy extra 12-15 points a season
He was quoted on radio station Talksport as saying: “There is obviously talk of Arsenal signing Petr and if they do get Petr, that will strengthen them for sure. He will save them 12 to 15 points a season.
“I am sure if he does leave the club, which nobody wants to see, but we understand he wants to play football, he is going to be sorely missed. He will improve whatever side he goes to.”
