Radamel Falcao had an unsuccessful loan spell at Manchester United as last season as the 29-year-old could only manage 4 goals. That, unsurprisingly, could not convince Louis van Gaal as the Manchester United manager decided to end his loan spell at the end of his contract.
Falcao was revered to be one of the best strikers in the game a few years ago but a knee injury turned out to be fatal as the Columbian missed the World Cup finals in Brazil and was unable to show his form in front of goal for Manchester United.
That did not stop Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho to trust the former Atletico striker who has brought him to Chelsea for yet another loan spell, only this time, its for the team from West London.
Falcao has been handed the no. 9 jersey which had been vacant since Fernando Torres left. Chelsea fans would hope that this former Atletico Madrid striker does not have the same fate as the last Atletico Madrid who coincidentally also donned the no. 9 kit. They would also hope they get to see the same Falcao who once demolished a hapless Chelsea side in the UEFA Super Cup final.
