Robin van Persie was unveiled by Fenerbahce earlier this evening. The former Arsenal and Manchester United striker moved to Istanbul in a £4.75 million deal from Manchester United.
Van Persie moved to Manchester United from Arsenal in a £24 million deal but it turned out to be worth the hefty price tag as he single handedly won them the Premier League title back from their ‘noisy neighbours’ Manchester City.
The internet has been pouring messages of support for Van Persie and the 30-year-old returned the favour who also had some nice words for Manchester United fans, board and even CEO Ed Woodward.
The player also took to twitter and thanked his fans from all over the world.
