Sami Khedira was unveiled by Juventus earlier today. The German international was released by Real Madrid after his contract expired and Juventus were quick to act by signing the World Cup winner.
The 28-year-old moved from the Bernabeu to the Juventus Stadium for free.
Juventus needed reinforcements as their midfield ‘maestro’ Andrea Pirlo moved to the MLS to join New York City.
Juventus would be counting on Khedira to play a big part next season as they would be without Pirlo and Carlos Tevez who also left Juventus to head back home to join the Boca Juniors.
Juventus were not far from a very successful season as they lost to Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League final last season, thus failing to win the treble. Juventus, however did beat Khedira’s former side Real Madrid in the semi final on their way to the final in Berlin.
