Arsene Wenger has come out and denied reports linking Karim Benzema to Arsenal. Reports suggested that Wenger wanted his compatriot Benzema at Arsenal to lead the line of Arsenal’s attack but the Frenchman has rubbished the rumours.
Olivier Giroud has led Arsenal’s front line for the past 2 years but they have been lacking the class of Van Persie or Henry who were sold to Manchester United and Barcelona respectively.
Talking of Van Persie, Wenger said he could not believe United let their star striker leave with the Dutchman still having much to offer. The Frenchman bought Van Persie at a very young age and coached him to become one of the most fierce strikers in the world before selling him to Manchester United for £24 million.
