Louis van Gaal seems to be having a gala time playing around with the English media. The Dutch manager accused the media of “inventing stories” and is now playing around with a “mystery striker” alongside him.
While the British press is busy linking most of the prolific strikers in the game with Manchester United, Louis van Gaal has come out and told the media that United are after another striker but it’s not what the media are writing about.
The Manchester United manager however confirmed that they are after a new striker but the media are yet to identify the player. The manager had admitted last week that he was looking for players for 2 positions where he feels his team needs to improve.
Reports suggest the manager is out there to sign one centre half and one striker. Nicolas Otamendi is believed to be the real possibility of signing one centre half he’s looking for although Sergio Ramos is another prospect but his arrival seems bleak.
When asked about Sergio Ramos’s chances of arriving at Manchester United, Van Gaal said: “I cannot talk about these rumours. I have said in a lot of press conferences that it’s a process. Maybe Mr. Ramos is in the process, you never know.”
According to many, United are after PSG’s Edinson Cavani and Bayern’s Thomas Muller to solve their striker problems but the two seem out of the equation now as they are the one’s the media has identified and clearly, United are after someone the media is till in the dark about. Long Live LvG.
