The year of 1999 has gone down as perhaps the greatest year in the history of British football and most importantly Manchester United Football Club. Manchester United achieved an unprecedented treble of the English League, FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League. The players and manager achieved everything their hearts desired.
The club achieved success with the help of homegrown talent, most important ones being ‘The Class of 92‘ which comprised of players like Gary and Phil Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and David Beckham.
The year ’99 was even more fruitful for the boy from Leytonstone who got married to his wife, Victoria. Beckham came into the ’99 season on the back of an eventful summer when he was blamed for the exit of the English Football Team from the summer’s World Cup.
The player recently got a tattoo made on his hand to celebrate the year 1999.
It was a treble for Manchester United, it was a Quadruple for the lad from Leytonstone.
