Luis Suarez has been a controversial figure for the past few years. He has been involved in a number of incidents which have somewhat spoiled his image even though him being a supremely talented footballer.
He was accused for being a racist after allegedly calling former Manchester United left back Patrice Evra ‘negrito’ which means black.
The Uruguayan bit Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic in a Liverpool-Chelsea game and was banned for 7 matches following the incident.A few months later he bit Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini during the match between Italy and Uruguay in the group stages of the FIFA World Cup 2014.
The Barcelona forward has also had some experience goalkeeping as the Uruguayan stopped a certain goal in the Quarterfinals of the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa. Suarez saved Dominic Adiyah’s header in the last minute of the game using his hand when of course, he was playing as a forward and not a goalkeeper. Suarez’s save prevented Ghana from taking the lead but he was sent off for the action. Ghana were awarded a penalty but Asamoah Gyan failed to convert and Uruguay won the tie and headed to the semi finals of the tournament.
Looks like Suarez has still got it as the player is seen goalkeeping in this fan video which was captured during a training session in Washington.
Seems like that night in Johannesburg wasn’t a fluke as the Uruguayan seems to have some decent goalkeeping skills.
