Angel di Maria is set to join PSG after only a season at Manchester United. The Argentine winger joined Manchester United from Real Madrid only last year in a £59.7 million deal which is the British record signing.
Di Maria came in with a lot of promise and started off well at United scoring and assisting fantastic goals for the Red Devils. He excited many United supporters including United legend Gary Neville who gave a big thumbs up to the transfer.
Could be biggest excitement at OT today for sometime. Personally hope Di Maria and Shaw play.. Could be devastating left side..— Gary Neville (@GNev2) September 14, 2014
I know it’s early and speculation but Di Maria fits the bill for United 100% .. — Gary Neville (@GNev2) August 23, 2014
The dream start was over soon as Di Maria was out injured and then his family had to go through the trauma of having a burglary at their Manchester home. That, seems to be responsible for unsettling the former Real Madrid winger who is now destined to join the French League champions, Paris Saint Germain.
Di Maria was apparently asked to report for training for the tour of the United States on the 25th of July but never got on the plane.
Neville, however seems disappointed that one of his favorite signings till now didn’t quite work out.
I was genuinely delighted with the Di Maria signing. I'm genuinely disappointed how it's turning out.— Gary Neville (@GNev2) July 26, 2015
Van Gaal was asked about his player’s whereabouts but the manager said he did not know where his record signing was.
