The 2015-16 UEFA Champions League saw its end on Saturday, as Real Madrid won the final against Atletico Madrid after an exciting penalty shoot-out. Now it is time to think about next season’s UCL.
The arrangement of the teams in the initial pots will be slightly different and thanks to it, the Premier League champions Leicester City will find themselves in pot one along with the other league title holders and UCL winners Real Madrid. In the old format the Foxes would have been in pot four, due to their inexperience in European tournaments.
Pep Guardiola and Manchester City will first have to win their qualifier at the beginning of next season before entering pot two. The same goes for FC Porto as well.
The 2016-17 UCL campaign is set to be more exciting than ever and we sure can’t wait for it to begin!
