Xhaka brothers give 80% of their salaries to their parents

Granit Xhaka is without a doubt a very talented player and he has shown that numerous times on the football. After spending some time playing for Borussia Monchengladbach, the 23-year-old was spotted by Arsenal and the Gunners made a move this summer in order to lure him to the Emirates. They succeeded, after offering Borussia around 40 million pounds.

However, despite being bought by a big club and earning tons of money every month, Xhaka has stayed more than humble. Recently he admitted in an interview that he, and his brother Taulant who play for Basel, have been giving 80% of their salaries back to their parents.

“Because we owe our parents everything, we want them to give something back today. And each month from our income – we have a separate account obviously – we give 80 percent of it to our parents back hom. We are young, we are naive with money, money can go fast. If anyone thinks he is something better just because he has more money in the account then he can very quickly fall on your face. The family is our greatest luxury.”
