There is no doubt that seeing Arsenal loan out Jack Wilshere to Bournemout was one of the biggest surprises of the summer and arguably the biggest thing on deadline day. However, rationally speaking, the move is justified, as Wilshere was nowhere near his optimal form and needed to play more regularly.
Thus, the Gunners loaned him to Bournemouth, in an attempt to give Wilshere the opportunity to feature more often as a starter in Premier League games. However, Paul Scholes thinks that the midfielder will need to do more than just show up on training to guarantee his place in the starting squad.
According to the Manchester United legend, Wilshere doesn’t seem to have brought the right attitude at Bournemouth and could easily see himself spending more time on the bench than on the pitch, if he doesn’t perform good on a regular basis. However, Scholes also stated that he isn’t sure whether going to Bournemouth was the right move for the Arsenal star.
