Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang will join Paris Saint-Germain in a £61 million transfer over the summer.
The former Saint-Etienne player, who finished the campaign as the Bundesliga top-scorer with 31 goals, has agreed to a contract worth £168,000 per week with the Parisian giants.
Aubameyang had informed the club of his desire to leave before the German Cup Final, where he scored from the spot against Eintracht Frankfurt to secure his third winners medal with Dortmund.
Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Madrid had all been linked with the Gabon international, but PSG’s sense of urgency to secure signings and overhaul a squad that dropped the Ligue 1 title to Monaco has made them favourites to secure his signing.
With his exit all but confirmed, Aubameyang’s four-season spell with Dortmund ends with an incredible record of 120 goals in 189 appearances.
His trophy cabinet leaves much to be desired, though, with just this season’s German Cup and two German Supercups to show for his efforts.
Paris Saint-Germain’s new sporting director Antero Henrique is said to have the final say on the transfer.
