Juventus have put in a €45 million offer for Fiorentina winger Federico Bernardeschi.
Bernardeschi’s contract with Fiorentina is set to expire next year, but he has thus far refused to sign an extension, raising a cloud of doubt over his future at the club.
Federico Bernardeschi enjoyed his most prolific season in Serie A last term, netting 11 times from 32 appearances to rank as the club’s second top-scorer in the league behind Nikola Kalinic.
The Viola have slapped a €50 million price tag on the 6-foot-tall Italian, who is currently with the under 21 squad for the European Under 21 Championship.
While there is reported interest in the player from Bayern Munich and Inter Milan, neither of those clubs have come close enough to Fiorentina’s asking price.
With Juventus remaining as front-runners for the 23-year-old’s signature, Fiorentina face the threat of a fan revolt should they sell one of their most promising players to their arch rivals.
