Bournemouth are ready to make Nathan Ake their club-record signing in the summer.
The Cherries will pay £20 million for the Chelsea player, eclipsing the record set by Jordon Ibe’s £15 million purchase from Liverpool last summer.
Nathan Ake will be Bournemouth’s second signing of the summer after they brought in Bosnian goalkeeper Asmir Begovic from Chelsea.
A loan spell with Bournemouth for the first half of 2016/17 proved productive for Nathan Ake, making 10 league appearances and scoring three goals, including winners against Liverpool and Stoke City.
However, his time with Bournemouth was cut short when Antonio Conte recalled him to Chelsea for the second half of the campaign.
Playing time was hard to come by while back at The Blues, with Ake starting just four times and making five appearances in all competitions.
Nathan Ake’s departure could make way for a wave of high-profile signings for Chelsea, who are rumoured to be in the market for Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk and Juventus duo Leonardo Bonucci and Alex Sandro.
