Douglas Costa has finally completed his move away from Bayern Munich by joining Italian champions Juventus.
Sky Sport Italia have reported that the Brazilian joins Juventus on a two-year loan deal worth €6 million, with the Champions League runners-up holding an obligation to purchase for another €40 million depending on the meeting of certain criteria.
While it remains unclear as to what these criteria are, it is largely thought to involve some deal regarding the number of appearances he makes for Juventus.
The 26-year-old started his Bayern Munich career brightly after a €30 million move from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2015, but has since stalled and struggled to maintain a regular starting spot after an underwhelming 2016/17 campaign.
Douglas Costa started just 14 times in the Bundesliga last season, scoring four and assisting three, but played largely in the shadow of a resurgent veteran winger, Arjen Robben.
Bayern Munich and Juventus have established a solid rapport following several transfers over the past few seasons, most recently including deals for Arturo Vidal, Kingsley Coman and Medhi Benatia.
