Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci is being targeted by domestic rival AC Milan, claims Sky Sport Italia and Sportmediaset.
Though the 30-year-old signed a contract extension with The Old Lady in December, that hasn’t stopped Sportmediaset from reporting that Bonucci has agreed to a €7 million per season deal with the Rossoneri.
Reports also suggest that AC Milan have not spoken directly with Juventus, only with Leonardo Bonucci’s agent Alessandro Lucci.
Lucci has been quoted as saying he is ‘working on a sale’ for his client, who is also a target for Premier League clubs Manchester City and Chelsea.
Rumours of a tense relationship between Leonardo Bonucci and Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has put some steam behind the possibility of Bonucci’s exit, but the Serie A holders are unlikely to sell a key player to a domestic rival.
However, Bonucci isn’t keen on moving abroad, ruling out the possibility of a Manchester City or Chelsea transfer and leaving the door open to joining a Serie A rival.
The Inter Milan youth product has spent the past seven seasons at Juventus, winning a Scudetto in all but one of those seasons, and finished as a runner-up in the UEFA Champions League on two occasions.
