Manchester City have announced the signing of Tottenham and England right-back Kyle Walker for an initial £45 million.
A further £5 million in potential bonuses would mean the 27-year-old could become the most expensive English player in history.
“I am thrilled to be signing for City and can’t wait to get started,” said Walker.
Kyle Walker adds a much-needed full-back into the ranks at Manchester City, and is their third signing of the summer after Bernardo Silva and Ederson.
Walker’s explosive and direct runs on the right flank saw him add five assists in Tottenham’s 2016/17 Premier League campaign, where they finished runners-up to eventual champions Chelsea.
His dynamic style of play presents several interesting options for Pep Guardiola not previously at his disposal with the likes of aging full-backs Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta.
Kyle Walker will wear the number two shirt and joins the squad on Monday for a pre-season tour in the United States.
