Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini is edging closer to the exit at Manchester United, with Galatasaray’s sporting director claiming he is on the radar of the Turkish outfit.
“(Marouane) Fellaini will leave Manchester United and he is now on our radar,” was Galatasaray sporting director Cenk Ergun’s comments as reported by Turkish sports website Ajansspor.
The 29-year-old is in the last year of his contract with Manchester United, the club he joined back in 2013 from Everton.
Marouane Fellaini was one of the first players signed in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era and, although he’s divided opinion amongst Manchester United fans throughout his four years at the club, has always presented a unique option in midfield with the combination of his height, strength and sublime chest control.
The Belgian was the likeliest of midfield options to drop in the pecking order at Manchester United as Jose Mourinho continues his attempts to land Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic, while Anderlecht’s Leander Dendoncker is also being heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.
