Neymar will become the world’s highest paid player at PSG

The BBC are reporting that Neymar’s impending transfer to Paris Saint-Germain will make him the world’s highest paid player.

Neymar will take home an astounding €865,000 (£775, 477) every week, equalling €45 million (£40.3 million) per season with PSG.

Barcelona have confirmed the requirements for the French outfit to secure the Brazilian ace’s signature on their official website: full payment of his €222 million (£198 million) release clause – which PSG are understood to be willing to meet.

In three full seasons of Barcelona’s attacking trident known as ‘MSN’ – Messi, Suarez, Neymar – a total of 364 goals have been scored between the three players. A remarkable statistic which, when combined with two La Liga titles, a Champions League crown, three Copa del Rey’s and a FIFA Club World Cup, makes them one of the greatest attacking trio’s in world football history.

Neymar informed the club of his decision to leave on Wednesday and was subsequently excused from training by manager Ernesto Valverde.

Neymar’s mega-move will smash the previous transfer record, set last summer when Manchester United paid Juventus €105 million (£89.3 million) for the transfer of Paul Pogba.
