Leicester City have completed a £25 million deal for Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho.
The Nigerian international put pen to paper on a five-year contract with The Foxes which includes a buy-back clause of £50 million for Manchester City.
“It’s a great signing for us,” said Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare.
“Kelechi is an enormously talented player that has shown a huge amount of promise at every level in which he’s played.”
Despite being a back-up at Manchester City, Iheanacho has gained invaluable experience in the Premier League and Champions League alongside some of the best players the division has seen this decade, such as David Silva and Yaya Toure.
Iheanacho will be given the number eight shirt to wear ahead of a potential debut against Borussia Monchengladbach on Friday.
The chance for his official debut comes one week later, when Leicester travel to Arsenal in the Premier League’s curtain raiser.
