Juventus set to complete €15 million Blaise Matuidi signing

Italian champions Juventus are on the verge of completing a deal for French midfielder Blaise Matuidi, reports Sky Sports Italia and Mediaset Premium.

Blaise Matuidi will sign a three-year deal with Juventus, taking home approximately €4 million per year.

Despite a plethora of success in domestic competition, Blaise Matuidi was unable to help PSG in their pursuit of the UEFA Champions League. He made 45 appearances in the competition with the Parisians, scoring six times, but never made it further than the Quarter-Final.

Paris Saint-Germain will receive €15 million + bonuses for the 30-year-old, who was in the final year of his contract.

The final fee is a huge drop from the reported €40 million that PSG were demanding just a few weeks ago.

Juventus are hoping for a swift medical to officially complete the transfer so that Matuidi will be available to make his league debut against Cagliari this weekend.

The Bianconeri’s season-proper commenced in disappointment, losing 3-2 to Lazio in the Italian Super Cup.
