Zlatan Ibrahimovic expected to re-sign for Manchester United this week

ESPN FC believe that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will re-sign for Manchester United this week after being released in June.

It is widely expected that the veteran will receive a significantly lower wage than when he joined from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer last summer.

Trophies have followed every move of Zlatan Ibrahimovic; he’s won 33 club honours spread across five countries, including league titles in Holland, Italy, Spain and France, but has never won the UEFA Champions League. This season may present his last opportunity to capture the elusive crown.

The 35-year-old scored 17 goals in his debut Premier League campaign and is currently recovering from ACL surgery after suffering a knee injury in April.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has progressed through rehabilitation well-ahead of schedule, having been initially deemed out of action until 2018, and is expected for a November/December return.

The Red Devils’ bright start to the 2017/18 season shows that while Zlatan Ibrahimovic might not be the main man up front, he will provide invaluable experience and cover to a squad hoping to challenge for the Premier League title.
