England squad announced ahead of September World Cup Qualifying

Gareth Southgate has named his England squad for World Cup Qualifying fixtures against Malta and Slovakia.

Possible debuts could be on the horizon for Harry Maguire, Nathaniel Chalobah and Jordan Pickford, who have earned call-ups for their impressive form at club level.

Meanwhile, regulars such as Harry Kane, Gary Cahill and Joe Hart all feature, while 34-year-old veteran striker Jermain Defoe adds experience to a largely youthful squad.
