Borussia Dortmund have worked swifty to identify 27-year-old Ukraine international Andriy Yarmolenko as the replacement for Ousmane Dembele.
That’s the latest from Ukrainian sports journalist Artem Frankov, who believes the Dynamo Kyiv man will fly to Germany to seal the transfer ahead of the August 31st deadline.
Andriy Yarmolenko’s versatility allows him to play either as a winger or centre-forward, presenting an abundance of options for Borussia Dortmund boss Peter Bosz should the move transpire.
He has 137 goals in 341 appearances with Dynamo Kyiv and has translated his striking acumen to the international stage, where he is the second all-time top-scorer (29 goals in 69 caps) in Ukrainian national team history.
Yarmolenko has made a bright start to the 2017/18 campaign, netting three times from five appearances as Dynamo Kyiv sit in 2nd place after six games in the Ukrainian Premier League.
