Germany squad for World Cup Qualifiers against Czech Republic and Norway

Joachim Low has excluded Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer from his 24-man World Cup qualifying squad, while there is not a single representative from Borussia Dortmund.

The World Cup winning manager is intent on qualifying for the tournament proper in Russia next year as soon as possible, and is on course after a 100% start that has seen Die Mannschaft concede one goal in six games.

“We want to qualify for the World Cup as group champions, so our goal for the two games can only be to win them.”

Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller has an incredible record for Germany, scoring 10 of his 37 national team goals at World Cup Finals. That places him in an elite category, as only Pele, Gerd Muller, Ronaldo and Miroslav Klose have found the net more times at World Cup Finals.

Germany could essentially eliminate Czech Republic from the equation when they travel to Prague on Friday, while a further victory against Norway on Monday would all but guarantee them a spot at next year’s finals.
