Inter Milan have submitted a new offer for Arsenal centre-half Shkodran Mustafi, according to Sky Italia sources.
The Nerazzurri want to take the German international on a season-long loan for a fee of £4.6 million plus an additional £23 million should they decide to sign him on a permanent deal.
It is believed The Gunners would prefer to include an obligation in the contract for Inter Milan to purchase the player rather than an option.
Arsene Wenger is under pressure after a poor start to the season, losing two out of his opening three Premier League fixtures, and a decision involving the sale of arguably Arsenal’s best defender would add further doubt to his suitability for the job.
Shkodran Mustafi joined Arsenal last summer for £35 million from Valencia, starting 26 times in the Premier League.
