FIFA 18 Ratings Revealed: Top 80-61 Players


EA’s annual release of the virtual football world known as FIFA is just weeks away, and to whet the appetite for players of the highest-selling video game on the market, they’ve release the official FIFA 18 ratings for some of the best players you can get your hands on.

80. Jan Vertonghen – Tottenham HotspurFIFA 18 Ratings

We begin with 85 rated Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen, who received a two-point boost to his overall rating in FIFA 18 after a runners-up effort with Spurs in the Premier League.

79. Angel Di Maria – Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain winger Angel di Maria has dropped two points from his 87 rating in FIFA 17, but still possesses five-star skill moves.

78. Filipe Luis – Atletico Madrid

Filipe Luis maintains a solid 85 rating after another season with Atletico Madrid, making him one of the best left-back options in the game.

77. Lorenzo Insigne – Napoli

The Napoli man continues to work his way up in FIFA Rankings with an 85 rating, having received ratings of 83 in FIFA 17 and 81 in FIFA 16.

76. Cesar Azpilicueta – ChelseaFIFA 18 Ratings

Cesar Azpilicueta is bumped up one point after a stellar title-winning effort with Chelsea last season, and is changed to a centre-back after playing on the right of a back-three in Antonio Conte’s 3-4-3 system.

75. Miralem Pjanic – Juventus

Miralem Pjanic retains his 85 rating from last year’s edition of FIFA after swapping AS Roma for Juventus and, of course, lifting the Serie A title.

74. Jordi Alba – Barcelona

Spain and Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba has blistering pace to get you moving up and down the left flank, but has regressed since FIFA 17, dropping one point overall to an 85.

73. Keylor Navas – Real Madrid

Real Madrid’s first-choice keeper was only a 79 in FIFA 16 but has proven his worth in back-to-back UEFA Champions League victories, and is now one of the best goalkeepers in the game with a rating of 85.

72. Blaise Matuidi – JuventusFIFA 18 Ratings

Juventus’ new man Blaise Matuidi drops one point from his FIFA 17 rating, but still has a range of quality on offer, including an 82-defence rating and high work rate in both attack and defence.

71. Casemiro – Real Madrid

Casemiro’s meteoric rise with Real Madrid has been well-reflected in FIFA; he was a silver player with a 72 rating in FIFA 13, but since his back-to-back UEFA Champions League wins and La Liga triumph, he is now an 85-rated player.

70. Alexandre Lacazette – Arsenal

Arsenal’s new number nine has a range of weapons potentially at your disposal should you use him in your Ultimate Team; 86 pace, 85 dribbling, 83 shooting and an 85 overall makes him a must-have up top.

69. Joao Miranda – Inter Milan

Brazilian centre-half Joao Miranda retains an imperious 86 rating after establishing himself as a key defender at Inter Milan over the past few seasons.

68. Pepe – BesiktasFIFA 18 Ratings

Pepe brings years of experience to Turkish outfit Besiktas after finally moving on from Real Madrid, but has dropped two points from his 88-rating last year.

67. David Alaba – Bayern Munich

The versatile Austrian has been downgraded by one point since FIFA 17 to sit at 86 overall, but still offers a wide range of qualities including 86 pace, 81 passing and 82 defending.

66. Petr Cech – Arsenal

Veteran goalkeeper Petr Cech is still one of the best goalkeepers in the game on FIFA 18 at 86 overall, but has dropped off from his 88 rating in last year’s edition.

65. Javi Martinez – Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich centre-half Javi Martinez moves up two points since FIFA 17, to an 86,  largely due to his increased involvement in the 2016/17 campaign.

64. Marco Reus – Borussia DortmundFIFA 18 Ratings

Last year’s cover star featured only 17 times in the Bundesliga last season due to injury, dropping two points to an 86, but still possesses a four-star weak foot and four-star skill moves.

63. Diego Costa – Chelsea

Soon-to-be Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa is still technically a Chelsea player and has retained his FIFA 17 rating (86) after winning the Premier League last season.

62. Sokratis – Borussia Dortmund

86-rated Sokratis Papastathopoulos is a colossus at the back; 87 defending paired with 84 physical will make it hard for anyone to get past him, while 78 pace is extremely swift for a six-foot-one central defender.

61. Franck Ribery – Bayern Munich

34-year-old Frenchman Franck Ribery might not have the lethal pace of his heyday, but will still cause defenders nightmares with his 89 dribbling, four-star weak foot and five-star skill moves, and is an 86 overall.
