Anthony Martial left out of latest France squad

Anthony Martial’s blistering start to the season with Manchester United doesn’t appear to have left much of an impression on France boss Didier Deschamps.

The 22-year-old was left out of France’s squad for World Cup qualification matches against Bulgaria and Belarus, which will be their last two competitive matches before next year’s tournament in Russia provided they secure top spot.

Even without Anthony Martial, France have a host of dangerous options up front, including Atletico Madrid hitman Antoine Griezmann, Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette and Paris Saint-Germain prodigy Kylian Mbappe.

France will all but clinch top spot with a victory away at Bulgaria next weekend, while a further triumph at home to bottom side Belarus will guarantee them a direct route to Russia in 2018.

Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman and Marseille’s Dimitri Payet are Didier Deschamps’ preferred options in the wide areas, leaving Anthony Martial to continue training in Manchester during next week’s international break.

Despite starting just four games and accumulating 353 minutes of playing time in all competitions, Anthony Martial has scored five times and assisted three as Manchester United continue the unbeaten streak that started after losing 2-1 to Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup.

  1. That is it That he can see in this player? He did the same thing to him at the europian cup keeping him at the bench even when it was clear That he should be in from 20th minute of the secound half. For me i dont see the guy as the right man For France right now. He is so blese with players that he doesnt know what to do with the. Check the spanish team how the came to power. France have the same thing now but he simply dont know how to use them right
